A wedding night at Greens on 10th

Not every wedding needs a view. Jacob and Ninweh were at Greens on 10th in Modesto — close to home for me, and full in the way a good reception is full.

I live in Turlock. Modesto is a short drive. A lot of the work I love happens at this scale: a venue people already know, family in the room, details that were chosen on purpose.

The portrait of the two of them is the frame people send. The table, the glass, the small still life of the day — that's what I linger on when I can. It tells you what the night felt like after the posed part is over.

If you're getting married in the Central Valley — Modesto, Turlock, somewhere in between — I don't need you to travel for the photographs. I can meet you where the day already is.
